Prostate photovaporization with Green Laser, also known as prostate laser ablation, is an advanced procedure that involves vaporizing the prostatic adenoma using instruments introduced through the urethra, without the need to make incisions in the skin. Due to the affinity that the Green Laser has with hemoglobin, post-surgical bleeding is minimal. This method allows the adenoma to be evaporated, ensuring a faster and less invasive recovery.

After surgery, postoperative management can be outpatient or inpatient, depending on the patient’s clinical evolution, during which a temporary bladder catheter can be placed.

At the CDU, we use a high-power green laser that quickly and precisely vaporizes the enlarged prostate tissue. Most patients can return home a few hours after prostate photovaporization and resume normal activities within a few days, avoiding significant efforts.
